Attendee Guide to EOY 2024

For a safe and enjoyable experience at EOY J-Culture Festival, please adhere to our event guidelines:

Ticketing & Admission

On-site:
  • Purchase admission at our ticketing counter outside Hall 405/406 from 12pm onwards. You will receive an ink stamp impression (also commonly known as a chop) for entry/re-entry purpose.
  • Please ensure the ink stamp impression remains visible on your skin until the end of the event. Otherwise, you will be denied re-entry.
  • For two-day pass holders, visit our ticketing counter the next day to receive again an ink stamp impression.
Online:
  • Present your e-ticket on your first entry at the entrance, you will receive an ink stamp impression (also commonly known as a chop) for entry/re-entry purpose.
  • The ticket holder must be present at time of validation. If you purchased tickets for multiple people, please ensure the whole group is present. A better option would be to transfer the tickets to your friends via the ticking agents’ transfer ticket feature. You can also send them their QR codes individually.
  • Please ensure the ink stamp impression remains visible on your skin until the end of the event. Otherwise, you will be denied re-entry.
  • For two-day pass holders, visit our ticketing counter the next day to receive an ink stamp impression of a different colour.
Premium Pass Holders (Online only)
  • Present your e-ticket on your first entry at the entrance. You will receive a VIP Pass and an ink stamp impression.

One-day passes are eligible for either day (even if it says Saturday). As long as the ticket has not been checked in, it’s good for use.


Bags & personal belongings

  • Bag checks will be conducted when entering the event hall. If you have a bag with you, please join the appropriate queue.
  • For faster clearance, please have your bags open and ready for checking before your turn.
  • Do not leave your bags unattended. Event staff reserve the right to remove and dispose of belongings that are left unattended.

Bag Storage

  • Bag storage is available at the event site. It costs $4 per check-in, and is free for premium pass holders. If you wish to remove the bag and put it back in, you are required to pay the check-in fee again.
  • By choosing this service, you absolve the staff from any responsibility and liability, should your bag be damaged or anything is missing from within. Please ensure that the bag has been secured and can only be opened by yourself.
  • Bags not collected at the end of each event day will be treated as lost and found items.

Cosplay & Attire

  • Cosplay is allowed and there are no restrictions on the genre.
  • If your costume is military, paramilitary, or law-enforcement themed, please be mindful of how the public may perceive you when you are wearing them. Please make efforts to distinguish it from a real uniform. Kindly note that certain features of a military uniform e.g. combat helmets are controlled items that require a license to carry.
  • If your costume has features that conceal your facial features, you may be asked to remove the feature at any time. Examples include but are not limited to masks, sunglasses and helmets.
  • Inappropriate costumes i.e. one that exposes genitalia, buttocks and/or breasts, causes outrage of modesty or public alarm, are prohibited. Event staff reserves the right to ask you to leave or change out of your costume.
  • Entry shall be denied to anyone whose attire is offensive to any race, religion, ethnicity or nationality.

Replica Weapons

  • Replica firearms must have their muzzle tips coloured in orange. Kindly note that replica firearms are controlled items that require a license to carry.
  • Replica edged weapons (e.g. swords, daggers, thrown weapons) made of metal are prohibited, even if the cutting edges are blunt.
  • When not posing, do not hold replica weapons in an aggressive manner. Keep weapons sheathed and pointed downwards, with fingers away from triggers.
  • Replica weapons are only allowed inside the event hall.
  • When transporting replica weapons to and from the event venue, or bringing them outside the event venue, please keep them covered to avoid causing alarm to the public.

Harassment

  • Any form of harassment will not be tolerated.
  • Any attendee who thinks that they or anyone is a victim of harassment should approach event staff or notify the authorities.

Photography

  • Photography is allowed at the event venue.
  • At certain areas, filming and photography are restricted to Event Staff. Please comply with the rules and put away photography equipment if there are signs or event staff requesting you to do so.

Event Staff

  • Event staff can be identified by their lanyards (with tags labelled Organiser or Event Crew). They reserve the right to instruct and advise event attendees.
  • Suntec Singapore Exhibition and Convention Centre has their own security and staff who can be identified by their uniforms. They too, reserve the right to instruct attendees.
  • Everyone can play a part in keeping the event safe and enjoyable. If you spot anything that is amiss, please do not hesitate to inform the event staff.

Consequences of non-Compliance

  • Failure to comply with event guidelines or engaging in disruptive or inappropriate behavior may result in eviction from the event site without a refund. In serious cases, we may involve the relevant authorities.

  • We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all attendees.
